You will soon sleep now, feeling calm and at peace all night long…

If you think you have insomnia, that means you are likely feeling exhausted, foggy headed, and maybe even thinking pretty negative and feeling down. Insomnia or sleep problems can be the result of worry, fears, anxiety, and badly functioning brain wave patterns. In order to fall asleep, your brain must go from a BETA brain wave into ALPHA. Alpha state is where everything is dreamy, and your brain is ready to let you go into DELTA and THETA state to fall deeply asleep. Mindscapes Unlimited offers services, products, and a program to not only help you sleep better but learn how to master your mind for living a healthier, happier and more successful life.

Sleep Research: Loss of Sleep Leads to Loss of Brain Cells

A study recently published in the Journal of Neuroscience observed that long periods of lack of sleep led to 25% of certain brain cells dying in mice. The study suggests that chronic sleep deprivation does not only affect physical, but also mental health. “We now have evidence that sleep loss can lead to irreversible injury”, said professor Veasey, Center for Sleep and Circadian Neurobiology, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, to BBC News.

So, how come I’m not sleeping?

When the conscious mind is busy, with worry, anxiety, fears, anger, emotional conflicts, etc. the brain has a hard time letting go of its conscious awareness. Some people hear voices in their head, repeat endless negative and worrisome statements or just worry way too much about not being able to sleep and try too hard that they indeed cannot sleep!

Does this sound familiar?  You start worrying early in the day about all you have to do, your mind fills up with mental clutter, and by evening you begin to panic about whether or not you are going to sleep that night. And once you miss a night of sleep, you worry even more about not sleeping the next night. And this PERPETUATES the problem. Worrying about not sleeping creates the problem of not sleeping.

Peak Performing Brains and Healthy Body’s Need Sleep

A recent study in the journal Sleep found that getting just one hour less of sleep resulted in reduced scores on cognitive tests. And that was after just six days! Imagine what years of skimping on sleep will do to your brain.

Dr. Daniel Amen states that he has seen the scans of sleep-deprived patients, and knows what harm it does to the brain.

A lack of sleep is associated with:

• Lack of focus
• Inability to concentrate
• Bad moods
• Increased hunger
• Increased cravings
• Depression
• Anxiety

Even worse, having chronic insomnia triples your risk of death from all causes.

If you have a hard time going to sleep or staying asleep, stop thinking that prescription sleeping pills are the best solution.  Hypnosis and Stress Management are superior solutions to help you get a good nights rest.

How soon can I start learning how to sleep?

Visit our Anoka Minnesota Mindscapes Unlimited Mind Coaching Center you can start sleeping very soon. But you are going to need help. Your brain by now is an expert at not sleeping. It does not know how to sleep easily any more. If it did, you wouldn’t have the sleep disorder. So, in order to sleep deeply, you are going to have to train your brain how to sleep.

This happens in two ways:

1.  Learning Self-Hypnosis; which helps you relax and talk the language your subconscious mind responds to so you can achieve your goal-sleeping deeply and eliminating worry.

I got a great email from a recent client; a 78 year old woman named Jean, who had struggled severely with lack of sleep.  After taking prednisone for over 10 years, once off medication, she had only been able to sleep 1-2 hours a night for 4 years.  She went to a sleep center, a therapist, a chiropractor/hypnotherapist, took medications, and nothing worked.  Jean was exhausted when she came to see me, with red blood-shot dry eyes.  I was honored that she trusted me to help her after all she had invested in to no avail.  My heart felt so bad for her and I was really concerned for her health.

After one session and a few emails, Jean sent me this email… “I thank you Lori for your continued interest and help where others have failed. I am so pleased that I’m now sleeping 6-7 hours total a night –most nights–now. I’m sure it’s because of your audio and the self-hypnosis techniques you’ve taught me. It amazes me that when I do wake up during the night I can go back to sleep.”Gratefully yours,Jean
