Be Empowered, don’t give your power away.  Based on being inundated with emails and posts on social media that understandably heightened tension, concern, and for some tremendous panic and fear, I am pretty certain that you are noticing the same things I am right now.  Depending on your mindset, you can see this situation as a blessing in disguise or a nightmare.

On the positive side, this truly is a great time for going within, seeking solitude, unplug from being online and focus on getting clear on what’s most important to you.

While at the same time you go deep within your soul, reflect on and release attachments to what you cannot control.

You know you’re stuck in an energy depleting state because you’re stressed out, consumed with fear, feeling anxious, tense, are angry at others for their behavior, and at some level expecting bad things to happen to yourself or those you care about. Hopefully you’re not panicking, clearing the grocery shelves, and being reactive as if the world is coming to an end. This overanxious concern helps no one.  It is what lowers your immunity, putting you and others at greater risk. Stress management is critical right now.

Use this time wisely, as wise ones have done in the past…

Coronavirus-working from home can be a blessing for some!

This is the best time to surrender your concerns to who/what you consider to be your higher power; God, Jesus, Source, Universe. If you believe in prayer, pray, if you believe in the law of attraction, begin envisioning miracles on their way, if you believe in energy, vibrations in the universe that affect all things, then fix your mind on uplifting thoughts and raise that vibe!!! All these actions are helpful.

Beyond prayer, belief, manifesting in your mind, positive outcomes also require affirmation of what you are proposing the Powers That Be, do for you, for us. By affirmation I mean you don’t just sit idly by and do NOTHING. You DO SOMETHING.

What can you do besides what I’ve already written about?

Get out in the SUN-Open Air Therapy!!!

Records from the 1918 pandemic suggest one technique for dealing with influenza — little-known today — was effective. Medics found that severely ill flu patients nursed outdoors recovered better than those treated indoors. A combination of fresh air and sunlight seems to have prevented deaths among patients; and infections among medical staff. There is scientific support for this.

Research shows that outdoor air is a natural disinfectant. Fresh air can kill the flu virus and other harmful germs. Equally, sunlight is germicidal and there is now evidence it can kill the flu virus. The sun kills bacteria that cause lung and other infections.

Open-air therapy, as it was known, was widely used on casualties from the Western Front. And it became the treatment of choice for another common and often deadly respiratory infection of the time; tuberculosis. Patients were put outside in their beds to breathe fresh outdoor air. Or they were nursed in cross-ventilated wards with the windows open day and night. The open-air regimen remained popular until antibiotics replaced it in the 1950s.

Doctors who had first-hand experience of open-air therapy at the hospital in Boston were convinced the regimen was effective. It was adopted elsewhere. If one report is correct, it reduced deaths among hospital patients from 40 per cent to about 13 per cent.

According to the Surgeon General of the Massachusetts State Guard:

The efficacy of open air treatment has been absolutely proven, and one has only to try it to discover it works.

In closing…While reading several facebook posts, I noticed several where people posted pictures of teens on spring break, partying on the beach, and hotels that welcomed the profit.  Several people, who are adhering to social distancing recommendations, and businesses that are shut down in attempts to curtail the virus, are undeniably upset for good reason.  How can you affect change when only a fraction of the population adhere to the suggestions.  We certainly are in a historical time, we are in the process of writing history by our actions.  As I see these kids, oblivious or blatently disreguarding the warnings, I also wonder if being in the sun, laughing wildly, pumping in those positive chemicals into the body and brain, is in itself a natural way to slay this virus.  Time will tell.

Be Well!!!
