Stress Relief Fun with Bubble Wrap

We all know by now that stress kills, and that we all have stress.  In fact, research now suggests that 90+% of all disease and illness have stress to thank for their underlying cause. The first step in our Strategic Mind Coaching program for people who want to improve their state of health, well-being or level of success, is learning stress reduction techniques.

I heard on the radio the other day, that 30 seconds of popping bubble wrap can relieve as much stress as a 30 minute massage, and I have to say, I totally agree.

Popping bubble wrap is releasing pent up stress, out of your system with each focused burst.  Popping bubbles places ones stressor; usually a prolonged problem or conflict situation, on something fun.  Moving out of the stressor for a moment, can prevent being over-reactive and calming yourself before blowing up. Peak performance always happens in a place of peace.  So learning stress management tips, like breathing, or listening to calming CD’s like Breathe and Be Empowered, is crucial to maintaining healthy relationships and physical health.  Oxygen is life force, so with each pop a person can envision being infused with fresh burst air and life force energy.

Bubbles, whether air or soap and water, are symbolic of play, fun, lightness, and joy. Popping them has forever been a way to evoke laughter, giggles, and smiles, all of which are physiologically proven to have calming and soothing effects on your system.

Furthermore, the feeling and sound of popping bubble wrap is very similar to the sound of cracking your knuckles, or popping little pockets of tension out of your muscles, which feels good.

Want an even bigger bang?  Try popping the bubble wrap that has large bubbles with your feet!  The reflexology of the nerve endings in your feet connect to every part of your physical system.  Walking or tiptoeing on bubble wrap can trigger vibrational healing all the way up to the crown of your head, and it’s a lot of fun!

Now for a special note you want to read.  Stress is serious stuff.  Please don’t take it lightly!  I know.  I ended up loosing my eyesight and blacking out at times, driving off the road numerous times as my equilibrium was being thrown off and so much more.  Stress can kill.  Pay attention.  You cannot be all you are meant to be when you do not know how to deal with stressors in life. You can become crabby, easily offended, sad, depressed, struggle with anger issues and get sick.
